Scott Sangster
Scott builds companies, invests in founders and advises them. He has founded businesses and acquired them, and he started OrganicStartup in 2007 to sit on the founder's side of the table.
Build
Scott founded HealthInReach, a consumer-driven healthcare marketplace that was part of Rock Health's first class. Earlier, he built a venture-backed Internet business and oversaw the launch of one of the first online banking services.
Invest
He is an active angel investor and, from 2010, President of Tech Coast Angels Los Angeles, part of the nation's largest network of angel investors. He is also Managing General Partner of the Social Seed Fund, providing micro-loans and incubation to social ventures in East Africa.
Advise
Scott mentors founders at MuckerLab, the Los Angeles accelerator, and sits on several private boards across music, gaming, mobile, media and healthcare.
Deals
At the Walt Disney Internet Group, he ran strategic planning and corporate development, finding new-media growth opportunities and leading acquisitions from first look to close. Before that, he advised media and technology companies as a management consultant.
